Renaissance Yeast to Present on H2S-preventing Wine Yeast Technology at ASEV Conference in Portland

Vancouver, BC  — Dr. John Husnik, CEO of RenaissanceYeast Inc., will be presenting in an Industry Seminar at the 66thAmerican Society for Enology and Viticulture (ASEV) national conferencein Portland, Oregon June 15-18. 

Dr. Husnik’s topic will be “Cross Breeding and Other Techniques for theDevelopment of Organisms to Meet Today’s Winemaking Goals” and it willtake place in the Industry Seminar – Winemaking session on Thursday, June 18 from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm. 

Dr. Husnik will present the latest research on development of industrialmicroorganisms for winemaking and will include discussion on thescience of classical breeding, its role in the development ofRenaissance’s H2S-preventingyeast strains, and how the use of classical breeding and othertechniques have been beneficial to the wine industry. The moderator forthis industry seminar will be C.M. Lucy Joseph of UC Davis.  Dr Husnikand Renaissance representatives will be available to answer questionsthroughout the conference.
